We have put together some "frequently asked questions", hopefully these will assist in your research for your duplication project. However if there is anything you are still unsure about, please do not hesitate to call us or get in touch via email.
Naturally, all our clients want their orders as soon as possible. Depending on quantities, lead-times are typically 1 to 4 days.
A lead-time will be discussed with you prior to payment. Our company policy is to send a free of charge (& obligation) approval copy, this enables you to see the finished product before you part with any money! Any amendments are made at this stage. Once you are happy with the end product, we require payment and written authorisation to proceed, production will then commence.
We have detailed information on duplication and replication which can be found using the link button from the home page. However, now you’re here – we’ll give you a brief explanation! Replication involves a process to create a "glass master", all production copies are stamped out using this master. Duplication involves burning individual CD-Rs. The results are the same in terms of audio/data quality. For a more in-depth explanation, please go to the home page and click the relevant link.
Our preferred artwork formats are: flattened PSD for the on-disc and a hi-res JPEG (minimum 300dpi) for the paper parts. We can, however, accept all of the following formats: PDF, flattened PSD, Hi-Res JPEG, BMP, TIFF. Please pay special attention to the resolution as this plays a key role in the quality of the printed matter. The resolution needs to be set at the design stage and not re-saved and increased subsequently. We also need you to note and action the bleed areas required. All artwork specs and templates can be located on our website. Please go to the home page and click the relevant link. The easiest way to supply your artwork is to burn it to disc and remit with your audio/data master disc. If the artwork files are less than 10MB you can email them.
This is, to a certain extent, personal choice. However, it really depends on the artwork you have created. If you are opting for a very simple on-disc design, e.g. text and an uncomplicated logo, then the black thermal print on silver discs will suffice. If you have incorporated any colour into your design or used photographic/complex designs, you will need to have either the laminated inkjet or colour thermal print. The inkjet print is for partial print only (up to 50% of the disc’s printable surface), the colour thermal is suitable for full coverage print (over 50% of the disc’s printable surface). For further information on artwork, please go to the homepage and click on the link "artwork specs".
We offer a range of packaging solutions to suit most usages from standard jewel cases for albums to c-shell cases for mail outs. Our most popular packaging options can be found using the link from the home page. If you need something specific that’s not listed, give us a call.
